‘Dramatic and daring. Poignant, funny and moving. But most of all really entertaining. Performed with real attitude.’ The Stage
‘One of the best productions of its type that I have seen. It is eminently watchable and enjoyable. We need more homegrown shows of this quality. ‘ The Spectacle
Audience reactions:
I was transfixed by your performance at The Lowry tonight and being so close to the action was spectacular. I saw Cirque Du Soliel on Sunday, and The Hot Dots left me feeling more breathless. You have a very special chemistry and I’m sure you will continue to wow audiences for many years to come. –Irena Przybyl, audience member, Manchester, Spring 2010
Absolutely breathtaking! I echo someone else’s comment re Cirque du Soleil. An hour or so at The David Hall was far better than a whole day’s trip to see the disappointing Albert Hall show. All the acrobatics were amazing and we had the bonus of the intimate venue and the Q & A session afterwards. Brilliant! You’ve both certainly raised circus to another level – Ralph White, Audience member, Somerset, Spring 2010
Fantastic! Our whole family enjoyed the performance very much. An innovative mix of breathtaking acrobatics, juggling and touching narrative – something we had not seen done before. The lighting and music were the icing on the cake! – Mark Armstrong, audience member, Harlech, Spring 2010
I was amazed by your incredibly unique performance at the Andover Lights last week. We were stunned whilst we were watching the show. After the show, the arena side was buzzing. Dance, theatre and circus all in one. Wow! – Robin, audience member, Andover. Spring 2010
The stars of the day were So and So Circus, a UK-based duo whose Swing Set combined elements of Lindy Hop with daring acrobatics of the kind rarely seen outside the circus: their routine combined physicality with saucy humour and enormous skill, and their appeal was such that many people returned to see their performances throughout the day – Graham Williams, Reviewer, Dance Days 2010, Swansea.
